Rebecca

Rebecca is PPR’s President and has been volunteering with the organization since 2008.  Rebecca and her husband, Kevin, rescued their first dog in 2002 and it was then that their eyes were open to the need for rescue organizations and foster homes.  “I was really just ignorant when it came to shelter dogs, backyard breeders and the desperate need to be a voice for the voiceless.  I immersed myself into the rescue world and I couldn’t believe the things that were happening and that there weren’t stricter laws and harsher punishments in place to put an end to it.  I was so inspired by the volunteers that were fighting to do the right thing and I fell in love with all of the helpless animals that relied on us to fight for them.  After years of helping here and there on my own, I knew I needed to do more and PPR was my way to do that.  I’ve never volunteered beside such dedicated, compassionate, selfless and inspiring people in my life.  This group is the epitome of love and devotion.  Every dog in our care is treated like family.  When we have tough discussions with our vet, we make decisions just as we would for our own pets.  This isn’t a spay, neuter and out-the-door organization.  This is a group that goes above and beyond for each and every dog because that’s what they deserve.  We work incredibly hard to raise money to care for PPR’s dogs and we spend every penny thoughtfully and responsibly.  We consider it an honor and a privilege to help these dogs and we take that very seriously.” – Rebecca L.

Rebecca is also a Central Florida Realtor, she not only works to find homes for abandoned pets, she finds home for people too!  With each transaction, Rebecca makes a generous donation to the rescue or shelter of her client’s choice.  Whether focusing on her volunteer efforts or on her real estate career, she is always finding ways to help our homeless pets in need.  She is now known in the community as The Rescue Realtor and like she says “When You Find A Home, So Do They!”  If you’re in the market, Rebecca would be thrilled to help, www.TheRescueRealtor.com
