Poodle and Pooch Rescue has saved over 5,900 dogs
through the tireless efforts of volunteers and generous donors. But our wonderful adopters are also rescue heroes! We can’t thank you enough for opening your hearts and homes to a dog who needs you. Giving these pups a forever home is the greatest gift they can receive.
Angel is Home!
Angel has found her family! She is home with Deborah and Chuck of Windermere. Deborah has been fostering and caring for Angel. Shortly after Angel was listed for adoption, Deborah realized that she was already home! Deborah and Chuck, have adopted 7 dogs from PPR! Angel has two fur siblings, Edna and Henri. She will join them in basking in the sun in the mornings in a large sunroom, and afternoons snoozing in the many dog beds. Angel will be living her best life and be very loved. Welcome Home, Angel!
Chief is Home!
Chief has found his forever home with the Fernandez family of Orlando. Mary and Bob have been wanting to adopt a dog to add to their pack. Chief will have two canine siblings: Bruno, a 7-year-old Shih Tzu who is chill and likes to cuddle, and Bentley, a 9-year-old Yorkie who loves to play. They plan on taking the pups for walks around the block twice a day, as well as playing fetch with them. Chief will have a fully fenced yard to enjoy and get all his sniffs. Mary and Bob also like to take their dogs on a “day out” on the weekends, and Chief will be joining them. Chief will be living his best life! Welcome Home, Chief!
Benji is Home!
Benji has found his fur-ever home with Ken and Deeann of Mount Dora. Ken and Deeann have been missing the love and companionship of a dog since their last pup passed away. Ken works from home and says he would love to have a “co-worker” to share his day with. Benji will have a fully fenced yard and will also go along on walks around town. Ken and Deeann are active people, and on weekends they also like to take longer hikes on trails in their area. Benji will be joining them on all their adventures. This sweet boy will have a fun, active life, and be a loved family member. Welcome home, Benji!
Lucy is Home!
Lucy has found her furever home with her foster family, Dolly and Ron, who have totally fallen in love with Lucy. Her new furever mom says Lucy is doing awesome. Even though she only has one eye, she finds her way around the home and yard very well. Lucy loves to sun herself either on the patio or in the grass. Lucy’s favorite bed in the house is in front of their fireplace. She also likes sitting with her dad while he reads or watches TV. She rides well in the car and also gets along with all the other dogs in the home. Lucy will have the best life where she is comfortable and loved. Welcome Home, Lucy!
Forrest is Home!
Forrest is home with Keshmira and David of The Villages. It had been some time since Keshmira had a dog, and she was ready to find her next companion. Along came Forrest! She was very attracted to doodle blends, and once she saw Forrest, she knew he was the one! Keshmira and David are both active and walk and bike every day. Forrest will be joining them on all their adventures. He will also have a fully fenced yard for running and playtime. Keshmira reports he is very well loved. Welcome Home, Forrest!
Hendrix is Home!
Hendrix has found his furever home with new mom, Romina, and her parents of Fern Park. Romina lost her last pup, a Chihuahua mix, quite some time ago. She decided the time was right, and she wanted to rescue another. At the meet and greet Romina was totally taken with Hendrix. Romina and her parents have a home with a fenced yard for play time. Dad is retired and home almost all the time. Her mom only works part time, so when Romina is working someone will most always be home with Hendrix. The family is active outside, and they enjoy taking walks around the neighborhood. They can’t wait for Hendrix to join them! Hendrix will also have a feline sibling. Welcome Home, Hendrix!
Wagmore is Home!
Wagmore is home with Brooke and James of Orlando. They already have 2 rescue dogs, Lucky and Bella. Lucky is paralyzed and can’t keep up with playful Bella, so Brooke and James have been looking for another small pup to be Bella’s playmate. At the meet and greet things went well. Bella has a sweet soul and is just the right match for Wagmore. He will have a fenced in yard to run free in, as well as daily walks. Bella will certainly help teach him the ropes of his new home, and show him that not all people are scary. Wagmore has hit the jackpot with this family! Welcome Home, Wagmore!
Squeakers is Home!
Squeakers has found her furever home with Pat and Bill of The Villages. Pat and Bill are two-time adopters from PPR. Squeakers will have two fur siblings, Bubba, the cat and Buddy, the senior silky terrier. Buddy is very excited to have a fur sister to romp with. Bill is hoping that Squeakers is going to be “a daddy’s” girl, as Buddy prefers to sit in mom’s lap! They plan on taking walks around the neighborhood in addition to visits to meet up with other dogs, and plenty of yummy food and treats. Squeakers will be a very loved family member. Welcome Home, Squeakers!
Annie is Home!
Annie has found her family! Eric and Tatiana are super dog lovers and have worked and volunteered for a rescue for the last several years. They have no kids and no other animals, so Annie will get all the attention herself – just the way she likes it! She has a fully fenced-in backyard, and her new dad is a self-proclaimed Tug-of-War expert. She will also be going on walks and visiting the local park. Welcome Home Annie!
Daisy is Home!
Daisy has found her family! Felicia and Mark recently lost their beloved 14 year old dog, Cash, and their family felt incomplete without a dog around. They are an active family, which includes two elementary age girls. They were looking for an energetic pup since both of them are avid walkers and runners, and they are hoping Daisy will join them. Daisy will also get plenty of playtime in the yard, and will have a pool she can swim in (when supervised, of course) as well as lots of visits from friends of the kids to look forward to. Daisy will be a fantastic family dog, who will be well loved! Welcome Home, Daisy!
