Yes, believe it or not, there is a dog underneath all of this matted fur. PPR received an urgent call to help a little ShihTzu that was left in a parking lot late at night. It was hard to identify if it was a dog, she was just a matted ball of fur. She was rushed in for treatment, sedated and shaved. The matting was so severe that it strangled her rear leg, cutting off circulation and causing atrophy, which may lead to amputation. She’s very sweet, but afraid, skin and bones and starving.
