Hi! I’m Jenkins, a 13-year-old Chihuahua mix and one of Poodle and Pooch Rescue’s special needs seniors. When I came to rescue, I was just over 4 lbs, missing my lower jaw and most of my teeth, and in need of a lot of TLC. Despite everything, everyone said I was a sweet little guy.
My forever foster mom, Irene, opened her heart to me, and before long, she realized she couldn’t imagine life without me. After meeting a potential adopter who wanted a more active dog, she knew I was already exactly where I belonged. These days, I’m enjoying the good life with soft food, cozy naps, and lots of love. I have some arthritis and a pesky cough that my doctors are helping manage, but my mom makes sure I’m comfortable and cared for every day.
Thank you, Irene, for loving this sleepy senior boy exactly as I am.
