Gus is receiving round the clock care at East Orlando Animal Hospital. He’ll have to be placed under anesthesia this week to debride his wounds and apply tie over bandages to stretch his skin and wrap the tough spots. Our vets say that his mauled body is one project and the deep puncture wounds on his head are another. We are taking this one day at a time and hoping for the best outcome for sweet Gus. In the meantime, he’s getting loads of TLC and comfort and learning that humans can be kind. See video here: Gus in Recovery.
Thank you for helping us care for Gus. We told him how many people are pulling for him and he’s wagging his tail, looking forward to better days. If you would like to help with Gus’s vetting expenses please click the yellow “Donate Now” button at the top of the page, and be sure to notate “Gus” in the notes field. Thank you, as always!
