Help Stop a New Puppy Mill in Orange County!

UPDATE: We did it! The Puppy Mill zoning exception was DENIED!

We need your help to stop a new puppy mill in Orange County! 🚨

Commercial Puppy Production Facility in Orange County – A property owner in Orange County has requested a Special Zoning Exception to build a 5,000 square foot metal building to house 10 different kinds of dogs to breed and sell—from Yorkies to Golden Retrievers.

Most of the dogs will be females of course. The dogs will live inside a metal building where the public is not allowed. We all know how this will impact rescue groups, animal controls, humane societies, responsible breeders and most importantly the mommy and daddy dogs who will supposedly be graciously granted 30 minutes a day outside in a yard that is 1/44th of an acre.

The Zoning Staff has recommended to the Board of Zoning Adjustment that this be approved. The Board of Zoning will decide May 4th at noon.

WE CAN STOP THIS WITH YOUR HELP.

1) Show up on May 4 wearing a red shirt. The local news and Zoning Board need to see that we don’t want this.

2) If you are an Orange County Resident, voice your disapproval of Commercial Kennel Case # SE-23-02-152 by emailing BZAnotices@ocfl.net and calling 407-836-8181, press 0.
