Senior special needs girl Trixie has faced many challenges. She underwent multiple surgeries and was diagnosed with myasthenia gravis (a neuromuscular disease that triggers muscle weakness and causes her to fall over) and megaesophagus (a condition that requires that she eat in an upright position). With medication, treatment and lots of TLC, Trixie began to blossom. Adopters Denise and Michael learned about her medical conditions and were willing to accommodate all of her needs. Under the loving care of her parents, and with her fur sister, Toto, by her side, Trixie is thriving. Several days after the adoption, Denise communicated that Trixie was relaxed and comfortable in her new home, and their hearts were full since she came to live with them. Welcome home, Trixie, you deserve all the happiness in the world!
