Sunshine came into PPR care by way of a local animal shelter. The young Labrador retriever mix had a severely injured pad on her paw that was not heeling; the shelter staff loved the sweet girl and asked PPR to intervene. PPR took her into care and made sure she saw the best specialists available to treat her foot. After about a month of TLC her foster reported that if she had an issue with her foot you wouldn’t know it…she’s super fast! Once her foot was stable and mostly healed, she was listed for adoption on the PPR website. She had been on the site a couple of months, and in spite of her being a happy and healthy young girl, she was not getting a lot of interest. And then her adopter came along and it was love at first sight for them both. Her new mom loves Labradors and was looking for a best friend to spend lots of time with and to go on long hikes with. Eager-to-please Sunshine has been working on her training and manners, and her new mom is game to continue that work and give Sunshine the best possible life. Welcome home, Sunshine!
