Star was an emergency case that came into PPR care from a shelter. She was a young terrier mix with one rear leg broken and a front leg infected from a previous break. She was also unaltered and heartworm positive. Needless to say, Star required lots of vetting. She was given lots of TLC from her very devoted foster, and grew to be a staff favorite at PPR’s veterinary partners’ office. Andy, a kennel technician at that vet’s office, was particularly smitten by Star’s charms, and chose to adopt her. So now Star is safe and happy at home with an owner who both loves her and is able to deal with her medical needs, and a new fur sibling, too, Zena.
