Sophia is a beautiful 4 year old Standard Poodle that was surrendered to PPR after her previous owners found themselves with too many dogs and realized they were not able to adequately care for them. Upon intake she had never been vetted (thus she was not spayed), was filthy dirty and horribly matted. PPR’s veterinary team cleaned her up and attended to all of her medical needs before she was placed into foster care. Her new adopters were looking for a dog that would be good with their 2 year old daughter, and felt fostering would be an excellent way to get to know a dog’s temperament before making a lifetime commitment. They fostered Sophia and soon learned that she is a “…sweet girl, just the best, most well-behaved, gentle and loving dog anyone can hope for.” Sophia has taken to her new human sister, and the two are now constant companions.
