Ruby came into PPR care as very young dog; her owner could no longer care for her due to living circumstances and wanted to surrender her into PPR care because she knew PPR would spay her, bring her vaccinations up-to-date and make certain she was adopted into a good home. Ruby initially had some behavioral issues and got a reputation for being a little overdramatic; ultimately she was diagnosed with hookworms that were causing her severe pain. Once she was properly treated, Ruby was still a little dramatic, but she started acting like a young puppy and a perfect sweetheart. Adopters Shantea and Steve were looking for a little dog they could spoil and that would get along well with their 4 year old cat, Blu. Shantea and Steve are a patient and kind couple that will give Ruby the stability she needs, and be entertained by her penchant for drama.
