Reuben is a sweet, goofy hound mix that was found playing in somebody’s backyard with some Chihuahuas. He was picked up by animal control and ultimately found his way into PPR care. Luckily, he was relatively healthy , as a young dog should be, and (surprisingly) did not have heartworm disease. Adopter Sophia, her husband and two young boys had been looking for a dog for a long time and felt they were ready and willing to take care of a new canine family member. They wanted a dog that would enjoy going on long walks, runs and bike rides, and Reuben appeared to be the perfect choice. Besides all of these activities, Reuben will also enjoy playing in his fenced back yard and soaking up some Florida sunshine by the pool. Now, Reuben no longer has to wander the streets looking for playmates and companionship, he has everything he needs at home. Welcome home, Reuben!
