Pepe is home!

Pepe’s story starts sadly – he was picked by animal control when he was found alone in a home with his deceased owner.  His owner’s pastor sprung Pepe from animal control but was not able to keep Pepe himself and then asked PPR for help.  At intake, Pepe was in relatively good health and found to be very spunky for a 14 year old dog.  He had some minor concerns that expected of a dog his age, and PPR’s vetting team attended to all of his medical needs and placed him into foster care.  Pepe’s new adopted family were looking for a new pup after they lost one last year, and their 9 year-old Chihuahua, Bitsy, needed a new friend.  They saw Pepe on the PPR website and thought he’d be a perfect fit.  Bitsy really prefers to be around low energy dogs and Pepe is as laid back as they come; they really loved that he was an older boy as well.  The minute they saw him they knew he was coming home with them!  Pepe will have a fenced backyard to roam around in and explore, his very own fur sibling to hang out with, and two new parents that are home most the day to give him all of the attention he needs.  Welcome home, Pepe!
