Niko came into PPR care when a Good Samaritan noticed a post about on him on Next Door. His parent had died several years prior; he was taken in by a family member but unfortunately completely neglected during that time – he was let out only to go potty, had not a seen a veterinarian and had received little (if any) positive human interaction. The Good Samaritan talked to the family member and was able to convince him to surrender Niko to her, and she immediately contacted PPR for help. PPR took him in, brought his vaccinations up to date, got him neutered and microchipped and gave him a dental as well. Adopters Susan and Steven were looking for an older dog that wanted and needed lots of attention and love, and Niko was the perfect choice. Welcome home, Niko!
