Beautiful Maltese blend boy Luka had been living in a camper when his owner suddenly and unexpectedly passed away. A neighbor asked PPR to help with Luka and to give him a better future. Fortunately, PPR was able to help and took him into care. At intake PPR’s veterinary partner estimated to be 8 years old and he weighed about 10 lbs. The poor guy was underweight, covered in fleas and suffered some hair loss. He desperately needed to have a dental procedure, and to be neutered and chipped. He also had immature cataracts but was not having any issues maneuvering at that time. Other than those issues, he was surprisingly healthy. After his initial vetting was finished he was placed into foster care with Teresa. Teresa had recently lost one of dogs and didn’t want her other dog, Coco, to be alone. Since she was already fostering Luka it just made sense that he stayed exactly where he was. Welcome home, sweet Luka!
