Hazel came into PPR care by way of a local animal shelter that was over capacity and did not have the resources at the time to perform her spay. PPR brought her in to care, and unfortunately discovered she was also heartworm positive. PPR and its veterinary partners saw to her immediate needs and placed her into foster care. Hazel was with PPR for over three months before completing her heartworm treatment. Now, she is a healthy girl, and her foster family has decided that they just can’t let her go…and just like that her foster home has become her forever home. While they were fostering Hazel, their long-time family dog passed away. Hazel has been a bright spot in their lives, helping both human and animal members of the family heal from that loss. They know that Hazel was meant to be a part of their pack, and Hazel feels the same way…she is a smiley, happy girl that is thrilled to be able to call her happy place her home. Welcome home, Hazel.
