Tiny, senior Chihuahua boy Gizmo was surrendered to a local shelter when his owner’s family was expanding and felt they could no longer care for him. He was in pretty good shape considering his mouth had been neglected for quite a while and had never been on heartworm prevention. PPR took him in, attended to his medical and dental issues and placed him in foster care to prepare for his new life. Repeat adopters Chris and David met Gizmo and were struck by his over-sized Chihuahua personality. At home, Gizmo now has some new fur siblings: Beemer, a 10 year-old Poodle (and fellow PPR alumnus), Mickey, an 11 year old Chihuahua, and four cats, named Sam, Percy, Lucas and Sis. Gizmo’s life is now once again as it should be, a member of a family in a loving home where he will always get the love, attention and care he deserves.
