Gidget is a tiny, senior Yorkie girl that was picked up as a stray in a rural north central Florida county. Her rescuer, a PPR volunteer, took her to the local animal shelter to be scanned for a microchip to no avail; after the requisite stray hold period at the shelter she was brought into PPR care. Adopters Joan and Dean had recently adopted Julie, another PPR dog (formerly known as Jewel), and felt that she needed a pal. Gidget was the perfect choice – she and Julie are now the best of friends, they share their own courtyard and have two adoring parents to shower them with love. Welcome home, Gidget!
