Elmo is a young, tiny and very happy terrier mix that was found on CraigsList by a man who searches the site looking for dogs that had been listed as strays to keep them out of harms way; he then seeks reputable rescue organizations to help these animals find their way into good forever homes. Upon intake into PPR care Elmo showed general signs of neglect: thin hair, skin scabbing, dental tartar and loose teeth. PPR’s veterinary partner attended to all of his medical needs and placed him in foster care for some much needed TLC and to learn how to live in a house where one is valued and cared for. His new adopters wanted to provide a loving home to a dog who has never known one, saying, “…we know it would bless us as much as it would bless the dog.” They also thought their dog, Winslow, would like a companion, since he enjoys playing and being around other dogs. Winslow and Elmo hit it off right away! Elmo’s new parents both work from home so he’ll have all of the company he needs and will be showered with love from the whole family. Welcome home, Elmo!
