Handsome Beau’s previous owners were moving and could not/would not take him with them. PPR was able to take him in and although he’s only 2 years old and in relatively in good shape, he did test positive for heartworm disease. PPR attended to all of his medical needs and placed him into foster care to recover from the heartworm treatment. When Beau’s family was ready to start looking for a dog, they were very excited about the prospect of welcoming a new fur baby into their family! As luck would have it, PPR had a Golden Retriever coming into care, and that is just what they were looking for. They decided to foster Beau to see if he was a fit for their family. It didn’t take long before they knew that he was not going to go anywhere – the whole family fell in love with him. They have had to work hard over the last few months to keep this active young pooch calm after his heartworm treatment, but now Beau is recovered and full of energy! He has a fenced backyard to play in, an active family to play with, and a Dad that works from home so he will never be lonely. His new name is Sunny. Welcome home, Beau / Sunny!
