A.J. is a sweet, senior Miniature Poodle boy that was surrendered to a local animal shelter because his owner was having health issues and no longer able to care for him. When taken into PPR care he was filthy and matted and was in desperate need of a bath. Nothing had been done by the animal shelter so PPR’s veterinary partners knew they had to do everything for the poor boy. The veterinary team soon discovered that A.J had several health issues (Cushing’s disease, a heart condition and poor liver function) that would require medications for the rest of his life; thus, the decision was made to classify A.J. as a permanent resident. He will live the remainder of his life in one of our loving foster homes, and PPR will make sure he has the medications and veterinary care he needs. A.J. will be well taken care of and get all the love and attention he deserves. Welcome home, A.J.!
