Foster dad Ray found out about PPR during one of the newscasts he was anchoring on FOX 35 Orlando. It was a story about dogs being rescued from a terrible backyard breeder situation and he was so moved by the pups’ faces and their lives, and knew he wanted to help. Ray joined our team as a foster dad a year ago this month and has fostered five dogs for us so far! Fostering is a family affair in his household with his partner John and their dog Roscoe playing key roles in welcoming each new foster dog.
About being a foster dad, Ray says “I love fostering because I love the idea of helping these sweet creatures who have been through so much. Some have been neglected, or been dumped, or been left behind. The idea of helping them after so much trauma and seeing the change in their personalities is so heartwarming. I especially love getting updates from their new forever families and knowing they are adjusting well.”
A little bit about Ray: he is originally from NYC and moved to Central Florida for his job at Fox 35 Orlando. He loves his downtown neighborhood and is glad to have a nice backyard for the foster dogs to run around in. Ray and his partner both really love dogs – they adopted their dog Roscoe during the pandemic and are super happy to be able to continue to make a difference in the lives of so many dogs by fostering at PPR.
Thank you Ray (and John!), for everything you do for our team and the dogs in need!
