A Christmas “Pup-tale”

Mark and Linda from The Villages are new foster parents at Poodle and Pooch. They found us because Mark happened to see a story in The Villages Daily Sun about PPR and one of our long time and dedicated Foster Coordinators, Susan. What happened next? Read the heartfelt story from foster dad Mark…just the kind of happy ending we all need on this Christmas day.

“A few months ago, we lost our beloved 15-year Cairn Terrier, Marty, to lymphoma. We were devastated. With so many dogs needing homes, it made sense to turn to rescue organizations, who in turn educated us about fostering. We made the commitment to foster, not knowing that in a few weeks our prayers would be answered. An email received from Poodle and Pooch Rescue identified several dogs needing a foster home. Among them was an 8-year-old Cairn Terrier named Natt.

On the 2-hour ride home from the vet, Natt slept peacefully…. likely the quietest time he had experienced in several days. Over the course of the next several days Natt settled into his new surroundings, with his new people, and in a new routine. With each passing day it became more apparent that Natt found his way to us and us to him for a reason. We were meant to be. We were so proud to complete the adoption process and make Natt the newest member of our family today on Christmas day.”

Natt is now called Matt and he has a senior Westie brother named “Jake-from State Farm.” Poodle and Pooch wishes all the best to Matt, Mark, Linda and Jake. Matt hit the jackpot this Christmas!
