Johnny is a handsome Schnauzer-Poodle boy that arrived matted, filthy, and with a broken leg just a few weeks ago. Thanks to your support, Johnny was able to get the complicated orthopedic surgery he so desperately needed. We are happy to report that his leg is healing nicely post-surgery. Johnny is diligently doing his physical therapy exercises and continues to visit the specialist for weekly rechecks.
The majority of dogs we take in at PPR are special needs dogs. Most of them require special surgeries like Johnny, whether it is to fix broken bones, remove tumors, or restore a dog’s vision. Their surgeries are expensive, but seeing these dogs happy and healthy again is priceless.
