Thank you for your interest in adoption and thank you for choosing rescue! We are a foster-based rescue organization and do not have a facility. Our adoption/foster process starts with this application. BEFORE you consider applying, please read these requirements for adoption. Please take into consideration all aspects of pet ownership before applying to make sure your home and lifestyle allow you to care for a dog for the rest of his or her life. We ask that you please fill out this application in its entirety. The information you provide will help us determine the best possible match for you, as well as for the dog. - Applicants must be at least 21 years old. Proof of age via a Driver’s License is required at the adoption.
- We’re sorry to disappoint, but we do not allow for out-of-state adoptions. Florida residents only.
- Please note, we are all volunteers and appreciate your patience as you wait for a reply.
- If you are applying to adopt a puppy that will need future vetting, we require each puppy to follow up with our partnering Orlando vets for their future vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter, per the schedule recommended by our vets. Please make sure you’re able to return for these appointments prior to applying.
- We require that all current dogs in the potential adopter’s home are neutered/spayed, vaccinated and have consistently been on heartworm prevention.
- Our foster families know their foster dogs best. We may receive several applications for one dog, please be patient as we do our best to process every application to ensure the best, most appropriate fit for each dog in our care.
- Please note, an approved application does not guarantee that the dog will be placed with you. The final decision rests with our foster families, as they know their dogs best.
Your adoption donation goes towards the veterinary costs of your adopted dog and assists in the veterinary costs of the hundreds of older and special needs dogs that we save every year. No one in our organization is paid and 97% of donations go to directly towards the care of our dogs.
