Petunia is a beautiful Shih-Tzu girl that was rescued from a backyard breeder. Upon intake she was in pretty sorry shape, which, unfortunately, is not unusual for dogs coming from this type of situation; she was very matted, smelled awful and was afraid of everything. Fortunately, she was heartworm negative and was not pregnant. That life is behind her now. PPR took her in, attended to her medical needs and gave her lots of TLC to help her build some confidence and trust. Kerry was looking for a canine companion, met Petunia, and Petunia stole her heart. Now, Petunia will not want for anything again, she is home with Kerry, who loves Petunia and will always regard her as a valued member of her family.
