Pongo is home!

Pongo came to PPR as an emergency case from the local shelter with two broken legs.  The shelter initially believed he had been hit by a car, but after further inspection by a PPR vet it was determined he had been severely abused.  In spite of his traumatic history, the shelter staff and the veterinary staff describe Pongo as a total sweetheart.  When adopters Brittany and Joe came across Pongo’s listing, they were immediately taken with his handsome looks, his propensity for snuggling, and his friendly demeanor. His photos and bio made him seem like a great fit for their family.  Despite their feelings, the decision to adopt would  hinge on how their 4-year old lab, Ollie, would react to him. A meet and greet was arranged, Ollie took to Pongo right away, and a new friendship was born.  Pongo will be spoiled and loved by his parents, and his older brother will make sure he doesn’t play too rough on his healed legs.  He has an amazing future to look forward to!
