Gus is home! Britni works as an animal care tech for one of PPR’s affiliated vets; she met Gus when he came in for emergency care after having sustained horrific injuries. Though he was frightened and in agonizing pain, Gus was gentle and sweet. He endured numerous medical procedures and surgeries with nary a whimper of complaint and with a dogged determination to survive. He soon became a favorite amongst the staff, including Britni, with whom he developed a special bond. She agreed to foster him with an eye towards adoption. Her parents, Leiza and Edward, soon became part of his fan base, but the decision hinged on how his fur siblings felt about him. Luna, Georgie and Rickiunanimously accepted him into the pack. Today, he and Luna are constant playmates and best friends. It has been a long, perilous and painful journey for Gus, but he is finally home with a family who loves him deeply. A soft glow emanates from him, it is the radiance of joy.
