AJ was dropped off at a shelter after his owner became ill and could no longer care for him. He was in pretty rough shape. He was severely matted and smelly. After arriving at our vet’s office, he had a good bath and groom. After his intake exam, his labwork was concerning, and we learned that AJ has Cushing’s disease. He also has an enlarged liver that was noted on his x-rays as well as a heart murmur. AJ’s foster fell in love with his loving personality, and PPR decided it was best AJ stayed put to ensure he received all of the care he needed.
