Pumpkin is home!

Pumpkin was picked up as a stray by a Good Samaritan who found him wandering the streets at very busy Central Florida intersection. His rescuer called the local animal shelters, they said they were already over capacity; she took him to a veterinarian’s office to see if he was microchipped (he was not) and they referred the rescuer to PPR. At intake Pumpkin was determined by one of PPR’s veterinary partners to be approximately 15 lbs, 3 years old, intact and heartworm positive.  The team brought all of Pumpkin’s vaccines  up-to-date and quickly developed and implemented a treatment plan for the sweet guy and PPR placed him into foster care with Heidi. Heidi nursed him back to health, and then decided she did not want to let him go, so he is now a part of her family. Welcome home, Pumpkin!
