Chia is a 3 year old Jack Russel mix that came into PPR’s care from its rescue partners in Mexico. She had been run over by a car while pregnant; PPR’s Mexico partner got her the immediate medical care she needed, saw her through her pregnancy and then placed her puppies into forever homes after they were weaned. Chia, of course, came to the USA. Chia is very sweet but can be on guard around strangers. When she met her new forever family, though, she seemed to let down her guard and approached the family with a wagging tail, accepted their pets and invited them in to snuggle with her on the sofa…she seemed to immediately know that these folks were now her people. Welcome home, Chia!
