In Memoriam – Mary

It is with heavy hearts that in 2021 we said goodbye to one of our PPR family members, Mary Tapp.

Mary was a wonderful volunteer who just always seemed to have her car idling and ready to go when a rescue transport call went out. Transporters play a vital role in saving so many dogs from dire circumstances. Very often, time is of the essence when a medically needy dog is dumped at animal control and we could always count on Mary as she was ready to scoop up the dogs in need and rush them to our vets.

Mary was also a wonderful foster mom. She always provided so much love and care to her foster dogs showing them such kindness when they really needed it.

Mary will forever be remembered for her generous ways and selfless heart. She was a fearless advocate to all neglected and abandoned animals, always standing and speaking up for what was right and being a powerful voice for the voiceless.

Rest In Peace, Mary. You will be missed beyond measure. Keeping you in our hearts to give us the strength and stamina on days when we’re feeling defeated, we will keep fighting the good fight and continue to make you proud in our efforts.

We love and miss you Mary!
