Tucker is a senior Maltese that was a backyard breeder’s dog; thus, his only value to his previous owner was his ability to make puppies. He was like most backyard breeder dogs – unsocialized and heartworm positive with neglected vetting and terrible mouths. PPR took him in, attended to all of his medical needs and ultimately placed him in foster care with Andrea. Andrea loves dogs, and fosters with PPR so she can share her love for dogs with pups in needs. Andrea met Tucker and she did not see an unsocialized dog with health issues, she saw a sweet pup in desperate need of love and TLC. Very soon after meeting Tucker, Andrea realized he was not going to be going anywhere else…he was already home.
