Toodle-Lou was picked up as a stray by animal control. He is a very clever little boy that reportedly evaded capture for weeks. When animal control finally caught him, they asked PPR for help. Upon intake Toodle-Lou was very afraid but showed no signs of aggression. He was emaciated and covered in flea dirt; he had already been vaccinated, neutered and microchipped previously by animal control (Toodle-Lou apparently was adopted out of the shelter and ran away from his new home after one day; those owners were contacted but did not want to take him back). Toodle-Lou did need some dental work, and just to be safe PPR’s vetting partners updated his vaccinations. When his vetting was complete he was placed into foster care. Toodle-Lou is a very cute Dachshund/Chihuahua mix that was about 18 months old; thus he was pretty popular when he was listed for adoption on the PPR website. With each application his foster Mom received, though, she felt more and more anxious about letting him go. She was not only his foster Mo, but she had also been the lead volunteer out in the streets for weeks trying to capture him and bring him to safety. When she decided foster him, she never expected to fall so hard that she could never let him go. These two have a special bond and are completely smitten with each other. Toodles, as his now forever Mom calls him, is home and in her arms…right where he belongs. Welcome home, Toodle-Lou!
