Maverick is a 7 year old Poodle mix that was picked up as a stray by a local animal shelter. When he arrived into PPR care Maverick was in pretty rough shape. Maverick appeared to have been neglected for a long time judging by the severity of his flea dermatitis (resulting in horribly irritated and inflamed skin and hair loss), ear infection and parasite load. PPR’s veterinary partners developed a treatment plan for the sweet little guy, and then he was placed into foster care with Mike and Marge, who dutifully nursed him back to health…and in the process, they fell in love with the precious boy. Maverick is so loved and has chosen Mike as “his person.” Maverick now goes on walks around the neighborhood with his parents where he is a hit with everyone he meets. Welcome home, Maverick!
