Sweet little Chihuahua mix Mallory was a dog rescued from the Redlands in South Florida, an area that is notorious for being a place where people dump their animals. Upon intake into PPR care she was determined to be about 1 year and 13 pounds. PPR’s vetting partners made sure she was spayed and all of her vaccinations were brought up to date before placing her into care with foster parents Katy & Kevin. Kathy & Kevin had fostered a number of dogs, both large and small, but when Mallory entered their home they knew there was something special about her. According to Kathy, :Mallory has made friends with every dog in our community. She is not interested in swimming in our pool, but absolutely loves to be outside and is a lizard catcher extraordinaire. She will chase squirrels endlessly but of course can never catch them. We have started calling her ‘Lory the Explorer’ because that is her biggest joy! She is still working on fearfulness of loud noises including recycle trucks, Amazon trucks, you name it.” Welcome home Mallory/Lory!
