Lou is home! Katie and Fernando were looking for a playmate for their 3-year old pooch, Rosie. They also wanted to be sure that any adoptee would be respectful towards their other dog, 14-year old Ginger. As they pursued the right dog to adopt, they agreed to foster 2-year old Lou, who came from a hoarding situation. Lou had not been socialized or handled very much as a pup, so he hid whenever he was nervous. He had no idea what a toy was or how to play. Little by little, Lou learned to trust and began to fit in with the family. Though he wasn’t exactly the dog they’d set out to find, they loved him, and he clearly loved them. Sometimes what we need is right before our eyes!
