Yelena and Yaroslav fell for Gumbo when they first laid eyes on him. They were on PPR’s foster registry and immediately stepped forward to foster him when he became available. Life was never the same once he entered their home, he has left pawprints on their hearts. They nursed him back from two eye surgeries, infections, and other medical issues. They became his biggest fans, arranging for him to attend training and rooting for him every step of the way as he reached his full canine potential. All the while a strong and lasting bond formed between the three. There was no way out of this love connection, the only answer was to make it official, and that is how this magnificent “big sweetheart” of a boy found his perfect forever home. Welcome home Gumbo!
