Gertrude came into PPR care by way of a local animal shelter. She was severely matted; after being shaved down, they also discovered mammary masses. PPR attended to all of her medical needs and placed into foster care to recuperate and get some much needed TLC. Her original foster had to have a medical procedure herself, so Gertrude was placed temporarily with foster parents Lois and Pat. Lois and Pat fell head-over-heals in love with Gertrude in no time! She quickly became a permanent fixture in their home, alongside PPR alum Lady Gaga (now known as Sophie). According to Lois, Gertrude is now the “other woman” in the household since Gertrude is absolutely crazy for Pat and hops right in his lap every time he sits down. Welcome home, Gertrude!
