Bernard is a tiny Poodle/Maltese mix that found his way into a local shelter after his owner passed away. He was very matted at the shelter so the shelter had to shave him down immediately to make the little guy feel more comfortable. When brought into PPR care, the vetting team determined him to be about 3 years old and 8 pounds. He needed to be neutered and have a dental but otherwise was pretty healthy; PPR, of course, took care of his medical needs and placed him into foster care. His new adopter is a US Army veteran who adores dogs. His previous Bichon-Poodle mix passed away in September, leaving a void in his life. He met the very sweet and friendly Bernard and knew that Bernard was a step towards filling that void. Bernard now lives in a condo where he gets to go on long walks with his new dad and enjoy dog park time. His dad works from home so he also has lots of snuggle and playtime, too. Welcome home, Bernard!
