Mary Beth joined PPR’s board in 2019 and we’re so glad that she did! Mary Beth hit the ground running and has been such a great asset in helping PPR with fundraising and grant writing.
”I started volunteering with Poodle and Pooch Rescue in 2017 when I saw a call for foster help on the PPR Facebook site. I started my tenure with PPR as a foster mom, then joined the Media Team to help write biographies and create social media features highlighting the dogs available for adoption on the PPR web site, then started doing some grant writing and helping with fundraisers – I love every minute of all of it. I have 4 great dogs: Coco, a PPR rescue who stole my heart, Sydney, Daisy & Jackson. Volunteering with PPR truly feeds my soul and I love being able to give back to an organization who aligns with my values and goals and does such good in the world. Working with this amazing group of people to save dogs in need is incredibly rewarding and fulfilling. Playing a part in saving those dogs who were cast aside because they’re special needs dogs or senior dogs, just feels good. They deserve a second chance in life and PPR makes that happen, day after day, year after year.” – Mary Beth R.
