When 13-year-old Papo came to Poodle & Pooch Rescue, he was in desperate need of a complex (and expensive) surgery to repair his perianal hernia. The surgery was difficult but successful. Dr. Zern at Chuluota Veterinary Hospital took good care of Papo and was pleased with the results. Now, sweet Papo is healing in foster care and doing well.
Papo’s entire surgery bill was covered by Susie’s Senior Dogs (susiesseniordogs.com) a nonprofit organization working to bring awareness to the plight of homeless senior dogs. Like Poodle & Pooch Rescue, Susie’s Senior Dogs believes senior dogs have so much love to give and deserve a second chance. We are so grateful for this generous grant which allowed us to quickly give Papo the expensive medical attention he so desperately needed.
