An adopter reached out with an update of a former PPR foster dog, Widget (known as Kahlua at PPR). She was adopted 6 years ago and was originally part of a large group of dogs rescued over a weekend trip by PPR volunteers who drove to the Redlands. The Redlands is an area in south FL near Miami where people dump dogs on a daily basis – Widget was found as a stray there and PPR rescued her.
Widget has been living her best life over the past 6 years! Recently her parents thought she could use a little furry sister and they adopted a second PPR dog, Yuki (known as Maci at PPR). They’re both doing really well together and the family told us how grateful and thankful they are for all the wonderful work PPR does saving dogs. We love happy endings!
