Kay started fostering for Poodle and Pooch back in 2008 and she’s one of our most tenured volunteers. She started out fostering for us and says “Admittedly, fostering was clearly not my strong suit because every dog I’ve ever fostered has never left my home.” Kay is truly a serial foster fail!
Since there was no room left to foster more dogs, Kay eventually moved on to helping PPR with administrative duties, from tracking donations to corresponding with our donors and volunteers to logging in all of our grants to helping with transports from time to time.
Semi-retired, Kay lives in DeLand and works part time for the Athens Theatre, but spends most of her time relaxing, volunteering and most important – spoiling her 3 PPR babies, Peanut, Piper and Pip, these boys are her whole world. Kay says about being part of the PPR team: “I’ll forever be grateful for the organization and all the hard work the volunteers put into making this such a wonderful rescue. I’m so proud to be affiliated with PPR and love being able to help in some small way.”
Thank you Kay, for your dedication to PPR throughout the years!
